Face coverings now mandatory in Scotland

CareSan Face Covering

From 10 July, all people in Scotland must – by law – wear a face covering in retail environments and on public transport.

This ruling also applies to public transport premises, such as airports, train and bus stations.

Anyone not wearing one can be fined £60 fine (reduced to £30 if paid within 28 days) for a first offence. People with certain medical conditions or disabilities, and children under five are exempt from wearing a mask in Scotland.

Physical distancing, hand hygiene and respiratory hygiene are the most important and effective things we can all do to prevent the spread of coronavirus / COVID-19. A face covering must be worn by all people using a shop, which is any indoor establishment which offers goods or services for sale or hire, when the shop is open. You do not need to wear a face covering in hospitality premises such as cafes, coffee shops, restaurants or pubs but hand sanitiser is an essential.

CareSan have a selection of high quality disposable face masks that are ideally suited to comply with these new regulations.
